This event will be in memory of Desiree Gallagher. Her courage and strength will always be remembered. We want to bring awareness and support for Victims of Crime and their families.

Come out and support a very worthy cause.

The Ride for Desiree Gallagher was started in 2014 as a way to bring awareness to victims of crime, and raise funds for Desiree who was a victim herself which changed her life forever. The outpouring of love, support, and fundraising was amazing last year. To see a community come together for Desiree in a day filled with lots of fun, great food, live entertainment, friends, family, and complete strangers who heard her story to come out and lend thier support was nothing short of breathtaking. With Desiree's tragic passing this past May 14th, 2015, we are determined to make this ride grow and contine to keep Desiree's name as a legacy.

About Desiree

Desiree was a beautiful young 21 year old woman. She was a student at Mohawk College taking the Biotechnology Program. She had 5 more classes left and she would have completed the 3 year program.

She loved to dance. Desiree did competitive dancing from the age of 3 up to grade 12. She loved to play sports and hang out with her friends.

Desiree was a little firecracker and a very strong-willed woman. She was never a quitter... The progress she made showed her strength and courage.

How the Ride Came To Be...

On May 25, 2013, Desiree and her family's lives changed forever. Desiree was brutally assaulted and fell seven stories from a balcony which left her blind and in a wheelchair. Her loss of sight was due to the brain injury she substained. She broke her spine in two places which left her in a wheelchair. She suffered from short-term memory loss which was also from the brain injury.
